The Corona Electric console is a revolutionary home entertainment product that combines a broadband video receiver, DVD player, Digital Recorder, Internet browser, Cable TV tuner and videoconference console in one set-top unit. The console is based on the Equator BSP-15 media processor chip and is Ethernet ready allowing consumers to stream Microsoft ® Windows Media 9 Video content directly from the Internet using a cable modem or DSL.

The System is being adapted to support Microsoft’s Windows Media 9 Video format. Content owners and service providers distributing content in Windows Media 9 will therefore have a comprehensive content encryption and DRM solution available to them to protect high value entertainment content delivered to the its platform.

Consumers will bring a multitude of compelling entertainment choices in the Windows Media 9 format directly into their living rooms from the Internet.
